A quick word from the Owner, Leigh

"Before becoming a happy coffee roaster...

I left school many years ago unclear about what path to take, fell into university and just like that 15 years went by, working as an engineer focusing on “getting the job done”. Along the way, I met people surprisingly passionate about what they did, people who were creators and were great at it.

Then a moment of clarity hit me – life should be about exactly that. Doing things that drive and inspire you, improving and achieving, learning and loving, always striving. This is the endless search. For me, that's all about coffee and music.

Mastering the coffee craft....

So I left my engineering career behind, bought a coffee roaster, started roasting and Beat Coffee was born!

My engineering background helped me hone my roasting skills, but my passion and drive is what has created the great coffees we roast today. We have a sense of joy and playfulness that comes with doing something we love, because coffee doesn’t have to be taken so seriously to be delicious.

Beat Coffee has been roasting & brewing serious fun coffee since 2014, and we have developed our own range of single origins, blends, filter coffee and cold brew. The nitro cold brew is especially delicious and we swear by it when making espresso martinis, or any other coffee based cocktail for that matter! We continue to experiment and deliver tasty new roasts, along with providing as much information as we can to help you create the perfect brew at home, every time. We want you to love drinking our coffee as much as we do."
